Institution was recognized as Degree College for Women on 1st
September 1947. This institute individuality that it was first Degree
College for Women after independence. It started with Art subjects in
the beginning. In 1953 F.sc and in 1962 B.sc subject were introduced.
In 1986 M.A English and in 1990 M.sc Psychology classes also begin.
Building is situated near District Court on Ketchahri road. It is on
vast area Library and reading room is available in the college, built
in 1971. Hostel is provided for student’s residence. Institute has
vast grounds for different games moreover there is an old small hall
along with a new one to facilitate students.
New
laboratories for B.sc and Home economics are built. There is addition
of 14 class rooms out of which 4 rooms were built from MNA fund, MPA
grant and 10 rooms ere built from maintenance fund. One big, vast
Dar-ul-Quran is also built with in college. Recently, one block of 11
rooms is also made. Students are provided training not only through
curricular and co-curricular activities but also through Quran.
Deserving students are not only facilitated by Red Cross and
scholarships but a new bank is also built for them. Many students are
